I haven’t posted for a few days and I must stress that this hasn’t been due to laziness, it’s due to the excitement/craziness of Christmas. I’m battling through a sea of wrapping paper, tied up in seaweed cellotape and just when I think I’m finished, more parcels are delivered to the door. Eek!
The lead up to Christmas can be stressful for anyone, even on a good day but throw two children into the mix and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a complete breakdown. Amelia, my 8 year old, is currently battling with the ‘is Santa real?’ dilemma so on top of the usual shopping, preparing food, decorating and wrapping, I’ve also have to make sure that this is the most magical Christmas possible so that the Santa doubt is banished for good….well at least for a few more years. Any ideas to make children believe again are welcome?
The weather in Sunderland is pretty miserable today…where is the snow??? This meant my photos had to be taken indoors and where better to take some Christmas snaps than next to my Christmas tree. As you can see, my tree is bald 3/4 of the way down thanks to Penny, my 16 month old, also the little terror clinging to my legs in the photos. I could have gone all Kim Kardashianesque and cropped her out but really, who does that? I think this photo captures my Christmas perfectly. Happy and hectic! My boots are my hand-me-downs from my mam and my jumper was a second hand St.Michael’s (now known as Marks and Spencer’s) buy from eBay a few years ago and cost around £20. I do feel like Kevin McCallister when I wear it but surely, that can only be a good thing. This has been my go-to Christmas jumper for the last few years, it’s super thick, warm and festive. Hopefully I’ll have time to post before Christmas day, if not, I hope you all have a very merry Christmas. Lingerie Rompers
