I’ve noticed recently that my love for skinny jeans is beginning to wane. I can’t imagine them not being a wardrobe staple, it’s just that my legs and I are beginning to tire of the restrictions that come with wearing skinny jeans. This S/S we want to be free, we want to feel the summer breeze against our skin and we want to roll around the grassy meadows without the risk of uncomfortable denim wedgies. Happily, these wide legged, silk like trousers from H&M are just the ticket! I bought these billowing beauties last year and have been extremely eager (if not a little too excited) for when the time came when I can finally retrieve them from my summer wardrobe once again. And seeing as though the sun has kindly graced us with it’s presence for most of the week, there couldn’t have been a better time. Trousers like these are the perfect way to transition from our jean winter wearing into spring as they’re super comfy, light weight and perfect for that sport luxe kind of look that is huge right now. When I first read about the ‘sport luxe’ trend, I instantly thought of Adidas tracksuits, hoodies, royal blue pleated school P.E skirts and a whole lot of sweat — that’s sport luxe right? As I’m quite anti-sport, I almost ruled this trend out altogether. Then I realised it doesn’t actually mean you have to dress as if you’re just about to join a gym (although it is a great way to fool people into thinking that you have), it’s just being modern, comfy and cool. Now that I can do.

Think wide legged trousers, soft materials, trainers, racer vests, slogan t’s and you’re on your way to creating the perfect Sport Luxe look.

How will you be wearing this look this season?

Lots of Love
